I was honored to be the Sioux City Wedding Photographer and Videographer for Jacob and Molly’s Delta Riverfront Hotel Wedding. It was a gorgeous autumn day to share my birthday with Jake and Molly, or rather, for them to share their wedding day with me. I can’t say for certain which celebration is the most important 😉, nonetheless, I was absolutely honored to be apart of their big day.
The day started off in such a sweet way. I walked into the bridal suite, holding my Pink Drink, and all the girls busted out into “Happy Birthday.” I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit embarrassed at all the attention, so I reminded Molly that the day was all about her not me! But she responded by handing me a reusable Starbucks cup and a gift card. How thoughtful was that? Thank you, Molly!
The joy and celebration flowed throughout the entire day! I can’t name one moment that wasn’t bursting with emotion from Jake, Molly, their bridal party, and their family. There were so many tears, so much laughter, and quite a bit of laughing while crying.
My absolute favorite moment of the day was when Jake’s brother stood up to give his speech. I was a bit worried at first when he stated that he was nervous and told one joke that didn’t get much of a laugh. But before we all knew it, he had the bride and groom and most of the bridal party in tears at his sincerity towards his brother. He told stories that had them rolling with laughter. You could just tell there was no end to the love shared in those two families.
It was truly a blessing to witness this type of marriage! It was a reminder that authentic, unadulterated love does still exist in the purest form. A reminder that a wedding doesn’t just blend the lives of two individuals, it blends two entire families. I watched parents and siblings all gather around Jake and Molly, to love on them and pray over them and it was refreshing.
Congratulations, Jake and Molly. Thank you again so much for choosing me to include in your wedding day!
