Sioux City, Iowa Engagement Session at the Grandview Park Amphitheater | Sioux City Engagement Photographer

This Sioux City engagement photographer is still clawing her way out of the “archives,” trying to catch up on all the sessions that I’ve photographed this year! Next up is my Sioux City engagement session with Ryan and Stephanie at Grandview Park.

I always joke that clients need to have an open mind during their sessions with me. I tend to get the “free-spirited artist” vibe while shooting and my attention darts around to any and every random backdrop I see with amazing lighting. This session was no different, even though poor Ryan was a bit skeptical of my ideas! 

We started at Grandview Park with the gorgeous flower gardens and columns. But then I suggested that we drive a little ways away to an abandoned nightclub! I am SO glad that they both trusted me and went along with my ideas. The arched green window shutters of the nightclub photographed beautifully! Then we also got lucky enough to catch a train passing by, and Stephanie wanted it in the background for sentimental reasons. 

All of my crazy ideas aside, this entire Sioux City engagement gallery turned out gorgeous! I promised Ryan I won’t make him nuzzle *as much* on the wedding day, but I still agree with Steph that it’s a dreamy, romantic look!
