Ryan and Sami wanted a winter wonderland for their engagement session. Their wedding day isn’t until the end of November, so they wanted a little bit of snow to get a different look. Even though the snow and the sun were beautiful for this Adams Nature Reserve engagement session, we got more of a muddy mess than anything! The temperatures had shot up into the forties the days before the session and everything had started melting! What a challenge!
It is NO secret that I love joy and genuine emotion in my portraits. I love when my clients can get each other laughing and having a real interaction during their engagement sessions. Sami took this to a whole other level. Boy does she LOVE to LAUGH! She is my kind of girl! Ryan didn’t even have to whisper or tell her jokes. She basically can belly-laugh on demand and it was pure magic in the camera!
We had so much fun wandering around Adams Nature Reserve, but I do feel bad for Sami’s heels getting covered in mud! We could not figure out the best way to go down the path. Eventually, we just walked straight out into the field and that was my absolute FAVE backdrop of the session! 💕 There is something about a warm winter sunset hitting the light colored grasses that looks like perfection to me!
I hope you enjoy Ryan and Sami’s engagement session! Keep an eye out for their wedding in November. I am on pins and needles waiting to shoot at Bella Terre Vineyard near Omaha for the first time! I have no doubt that it will be STUNNING.
