I'm Jessica (my friends call me Breezy) and I am a photographer serving the Sioux City area.

Michael and Bailey hosted a Sunday brunch wedding ceremony in Boulder, Colorado. It was beautifully styled with dusty blue and emerald green details, and the prettiest bridal shoes I’ve seen. As a photographer, I had my work cut out for me there were a million beautiful things to shoot! The weather in Boulder was not favorable to us. It was at least sunny, but the wind made outdoor portraits extremely difficult! We all were up and ready to go for the day at 5AM, but everyone must have been running on sufficient caffeine because not a single soul was grumpy!
I loved the Boulder Sunday brunch theme that Bailey planned, including donuts and a morning newspaper style program. But more than the details, I loved experiencing their favorite moment of the day together: the first dance.
I watched the bride’s eyes light up when she realized what came next in the reception events. She was so excited for the moment she got to have the first official dance as husband and wife. The way she seemed to float to the middle of dance floor, with the tulle of her dress gliding perfectly with each step.
The look in her eyes was precious, and I am not ashamed to admit that I was a bit teary eyed watching them enjoy their song together! This was the happiest I had seen Bailey all day, and I just know that the dance floor is her happy place! I would bet someone a million dollars that she anxiously anticipated that first dance for months. She imagined how the tulle of her gown would swirl out wide as Michael would spin her around! She must have pictured that dip kiss at the end over and over, but I’m sure reality was so much better! It was the most gorgeous setting for them, surrounded by the perfect white draping of the tent at the Wedgewood Event Center and a glistening chandelier hanging overhead.
It is obvious that there was immense love between these two, but what was more remarkable to me was the sense of love and family that filled the entire tent! I watched all of their parents while they did their first dance and every single one of them was beaming with pride. I can honestly say this was the most I’ve ever cried while shooting a wedding! I feel so honored that Michael and Bailey trusted me to be by their sides on their wedding day!
Congratulations to the newest Mr. and Mrs. Stef! Your wedding day was absolutely impeccable.
**PS: HUGE thank you to Michael for bringing me a Pink Drink and gluten free snacks to the wedding venue! You were the MVP of the day!**
