Iowa State Capital Engagement in Des Moines, Iowa

I don’t ever want to play favorites with my clients…but Gabe and Clara?! They’re high on the list!

I drove to Des Moines to shoot their Iowa State Capital engagement session, because scheduling was nutty last fall. I was more than happy to shoot at the Iowa State Capital and around downtown places, including the Center Street Bridge. Everything there is SO beautiful!

Other than getting to shoot in a fun, different location, Gabe and Clara came with stylish clothing and open-minded perspectives. They trusted my vision and were up for any ideas I had. But, the absolute best part about meeting them was THEM. They are the sweetest, most down to earth couple and they were SO easy to talk to! Gabe is just like me – blunt, to the point, and completely transparent. I felt at ease with them right away.

Their session flew by way too fast because we were having so much fun! I absolutely LOVE the high heels Clara brought with her black dress and the way it twirled. That twirl in front of the downtown skyline is a photographer’s dream come true!

The end of September will be here before I know it, and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding at the Tea Room in downtown Des Moines. I hope you love a peek into their engagement session and can see how incredible they were through the images!
