Winter Wedding with Golds and Greens in Cherokee, Iowa

After being practically non-existent on the Blog for the last three years, I’m working on coming back and catching up! But…I know you’re only here for the wedding inspo eye candy, so let’s get to it!

Thomas and Shelby got married this past January in Cherokee on the coldest day of the year, I swear! It was bone-chilling and miserable, so we didn’t get a lot of time outdoors for portraits, but we made the best of it! We made good use of the gorgeous Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the beautiful altar and twinkle Christmas lights left over! I think my absolutely favorite detail for the day were Shelby’s gorgeous wedding shoes! She wore them during their engagement photos as well, which was super cute too!

This was the sweetest moment when her sisters handed her an album FULL of sweet, loving and encouraging letters from family and friends!

That CAPE though!!

Here’s when we got outside for less than fifteen minutes. We just get a glowy sunset or a ton of magical shots, but the ones we did get were FANTASTIC! I love the MHI in the background for interest and the evergreens went perfectly with the bitter cold air! I loved Shelby’s fur jacket she added on! SO cute!
