I feel so bad for Nate and Jackie. They have pushed through some tough weather for both their engagement session and now their wedding day! Nate actually accused me of being the issue, bringing bad luck and bad weather! #ruuuuuuude
Despite my anxiety about the cold and rainy weather, Jackie had the best attitude on wedding day! She rolled with the flow and kept reminding Nate that rain on a wedding day means luck and fertility in the marriage, so Nate has a future with his hands full ahead of him!
These two have known each other since they were little (small town life, am I right?) but they only started dating a couple of years ago after spending more time together during a couple’s golf league. You can tell that they both love the quality time together out on the course. I loved how they included some golf flair and touches throughout the wedding without going way overboard with the theme. I already know that Nate prefers the golf portraits over the regular ones even though during that time on the course we were getting rained on and freezing cold! His love for golf must run deep!
I usually same something nice about how the couples makes it super easy on me to take beautiful photos, and Nate and Jackie are both so cute on camera. However, let me tell you about their first look…when they first saw each other and showed so much genuine emotion, they had both turned their heads away from me and the camera! Way to not follow directions, guys. So, of course, I rotated around and tried to shoot from the other side and wouldn’t you know it while they were still interacting, they both kept turning their heads away from me! They made me work for it, but I am always up for a challenge! I could tell after they first saw each other that they both instantly relaxed and became more comfortable and excited.
Jackie told me that her favorite part of the whole wedding day was being surrounded by so many family and friends and I have to agree that was so cool! I usually try to stay close to the bride and groom and don’t pay a ton of attention to each guest, but I was constantly noticing throughout the day that there were tons of people around! Every guest wanted time with the couple and Nate and Jackie did their absolute best to greet and chat with each one. We all know I am an early bird, not a night own, so when 9 pm was approaching I was getting tired. I cannot say the same for the couple and the guests though! I have not seen this big of a crowd stay late into the night in a long while! On top of that, they were all dancing! On top of that, a lot of them were country swing dancing! Oh my gosh, it made my day! If I wasn’t so tired, I would have asked Jason to go swing with me and show them how it’s done! Just kidding, they were really good!
All obstacles considered, especially the weather, this wedding day flowed so perfectly well and all the details were lovingly put together! It was a beautiful day celebrating the new life that Jackie and Nate will be starting together! I hope she’s right and that their marriage is full of luck and babies and lots of laughter spending summer days out on the golf course!
