Oh goodness, did I make sure to check in with Max & Cassidy the days leading up to their session. We were in the peak of the first heat wave this summer, and I knew the night of their engagement photos were going to be hot.

But they had the best attitude about it all! We made a plan for a Sioux City engagement session at Adams Nature Preserve and work in the shade, take air conditioning breaks, bring lots of water, and bring some towels in case they were drowning with sweat.

Looking at their photos now, I can’t even remember exactly how hot it was that night, because dang do they look so cool and comfortable together! (I know it was 92 degrees with a real feel right under 100, but we all made it through!) I absolutely adore how this session turned out, especially since we included Ginger. Ginger was Cassidy’s Grandma’s dog, but soon ended up obsessed with her. When I say obsessed, I am not exaggerating. Ginger needed to know where Cassidy was at all times, and even snuck out of her collar once just to run back to her! The way Max looks at Cassidy, I think he might be a bit smitten with her too! There is no limit of love in this little family! 💕
