A Winter Wedding Full of Bling at the Delta Marina Hotel in Sioux City, Iowa

My LAST wedding of 2018…how did this year fly by so fast!? I met Victoria and Steven when we all met up for food at Mr. P’s in LeMars…but now that I am thinking back I think I was the only one actually eating. So, I am surprised they wanted to hire me after watching me wolf down appetizers and a whole order of French fries! Tori and Steven are an ADORABLE pair obsessed with dressing up for holidays and I couldn’t have been more excited when they reached out to me asking me to photograph their wedding day! If there was ever a wedding to define “glitzy winter wedding,” this is it!

We had the BEST time at their engagement session back in October. We caught some of the final call colors and they were stunning! She chose super fun props including a light up box with their last name on it. We may have been attacked by swarms of bugs, but luckily we all survived and made it to the wedding day!

Last Saturday I woke up the most beautiful winter wonderland type day that could top anything any Hallmark Movie could come up with! The trees were frosted from the fog and cold temperatures and the sky was a brilliant blue. I don’t think we could have asked for a more perfect day. I arrived that morning and walked into a bridal suite filled with contagious joy. No one was phased by the frigid weather, and Tori could not WAIT to see Steven and call him her husband!

I think I laughed more throughout this wedding day than any other I’ve photographed in 2018. From a hilarious first look prank with the best man, the most joyful ceremony, the most entertaining special dances…my mascara was running down my face by the time I left because I had been laughing so much throughout the day!

Victoria and Steven, thank you so much for allowing me the privilege of photographing your wedding day. You ended my 2018 season with the BEST day I could have asked for, surrounded by your love story and your sweet family and friends. I just love you both and wish you all of the best in your life together!!!

Tori told me that her entire theme sprang from the idea of the broach bouquet. She saw this idea online and once she created it, all of the other “blingy” details fit seamlessly!

This is hands down my favorite ring shot of ALL time!!!

They literally thought of every last sparkly detail imaginable! Tori and her family made each centerpiece themselves and every single one was different! My favorite part was this table in the entryway to the reception hall.

You’re seeing double because this is the moment we switched the bride with the best man – who took one for the team and dressed up in one of Tori’s old Prom dresses for a first look prank on the groom!

Steven didn’t quite know what to think seeing his best man there instead of his bride, but he rolled with it and made a joke about running away together!! Now time for the bride and groom to actually see each other for the first time…

The sun and snow made for the most magical winter wedding portraits! Get ready for over load because I really couldn’t narrow my favorites down this time.
