It was a gorgeous, crisp autumn Saturday…oh wait, no it wasn’t! Poor Lindsey and Erin had to deal with yet another rainy, dark fall day for their wedding. But believe me when I say that they handled it with grace and the most positive outlook! Maybe it was because of my post on
rainy day wedding tips…or maybe it’s because they are super laid back people who could have handled a tsunami just as well!
It seems like it was forever ago that I sat down with these two at Monterrey’s for some Mexican food and wedding chat! We all clicked right away and I knew that it would be a smooth and seamless wedding process with these two! I proved myself right when we met for their engagement session and they brought the cutest little pup with them for some photos! Lindsey even hiked up a huge hill in heeled booties without any hesitation! They brought chalkboard signs and pumpkins with their wedding date on them…it was a match made in Pinterest heaven, guys! Seriously!
Lindsey and I continued to bond over our love of all things Pinterest as we texted and knocked around ideas at least twice a month! We even designed their entire invitation suite and matching posters signs for the reception space! It all pulled together beautifully – Lindsey and Erin you did an amazing job planning such beautiful wedding!
But, the only thing we couldn’t control was the weather and it had other things in mind! I pulled into the long driveway of the Grainery, amazed by the fallen leaves on the road and the beautiful trees surrounding the barns…but was a little disheartened by how dark the clouds were! I can work with cold, rain, snow, whatever…but the dark clouds really got me! But as soon as Lindsey pulled up and flashed her bright smile, I knew that it would work out well because her overall demeanor outshined all the rain clouds!
I am so blessed that I was included in another wedding day, I truly love weddings and anyone who watches me work know that I cry at least once every weekend! Thank you, Erin & Lindsey for inviting me into your planning process and your life together – it has truly been a pleasure getting to know you, and your two pups now! I wish you all the best in your married life, but I don’t have any doubts about you two!
Let me just pause here for dramatic effect…because Erin, the way you looked at Lindsey coming down the aisle, your reaction the very first time that you saw her that day…THAT’S the moment I started crying! So, if there are smudges on the photos from here on out, they could either be rain drops or the photographer’s tears!
Let’s pause again…because if you want a photographer who will wobble, wobble with you, then I may just be the perfect pick! 😉
Now back to our regularly scheduled blog post, because the sunset was breathtaking…and shocking in relation to the weather the rest of the day!
