This wedding day was sandwiched between two very different weather weekends. The weekend before was a surprise April blizzard, and the days following shot up to the 70s! This specific Saturday, though, decided to throw every challenge at Tyson and Anna that it possible could! We encountered mounds of snow that were also melting, muddy grass, wind and chilly temperatures, and spots of harsh sunlight. It was much warmer the day of their engagement session, that’s for sure!
But it doesn’t matter what the weather man threw at us that day, Tyson and Anna were so incredibly happy to be celebrating their wedding day! This wedding was all about the small moments that most people wouldn’t notice.
Maybe it was the way Anna floated through the day with patience and grace, or the way the entire bridal party stepped up to help up without complaint (they literally doted on the couple the entire day!). It could have been the way the mother of the bride personally took care of every last detail for her daughter, or how the couple sang the entire first song of their first dance to each other, or even how excited the bride was to finally wear her Grandmother’s earrings as her “something borrowed.” Of all the sweet, caring moments throughout the day, maybe the absolute best was the first moment Tyson saw his bride, and doubled over with emotion. He was completely overtaken with love and joy! Maybe it was the fact that I was the only other person in the world that got to witness their tender hearted personal vows they read to each other during their first look, or the number of times during the day that I caught Tyson unable to take his eyes off of Anna in her gown!
No matter what the defining reason actually was, I could not help but quietly observe all of the breathtaking little moments during their wedding. It wasn’t the typical out loud, jump for joy type of romance that I see. But rather the sincere, in between the moments type of true love that you rarely get to see!
Anna knew that her dress was the one when she tried it on, but then never wanted to take it off! She looked stunning in the ivory tulle and the belt added the perfect sparkle!
And then came the first look! I had managed not to tear up once up until this point, and when Tyson saw Anna for the first time, all the tears broke loose! He was so sweet, it was honestly the best groom reaction I’ve seen! It wasn’t just my favorite moment, it was her favorite moment of the day too! She says, “Seeing his reaction to me in my dress will always be the sweetest moment!”
They hadn’t seen each other since Friday morning and I know they were both super anxious for this moment, it almost made me nervous! She thought the moment was unbelievably special and would not change it for the world! “It was so much more special than trying to have that moment in front of everyone and having the time to really enjoy the time we had.”
After the ceremony, I refused to resist the need for more “just married” portraits, because these two were so cute in love and couldn’t take their eyes off of each other!
