Just wait until you see these images! You’re going to think the day was a warm, cozy autumn day and that Garrett and Melissa snuggled under this gorgeous willow tree and had the best time.
You’ll think that and you’ll be wrong! It was so cold!! There wasn’t any snow yet, but it was the most frosty cold, miserably windy day! We only made it a half an hour in this session, so we will schedule the rest when it warms up a bit! Silas (Melissa’s son) joined us, but spent most of the time in the car because it was so chilly and he just was not a fan!
I first met Garrett and Melissa when they came to the house for a bridal consultation and we hit it off right away! They are so down to earth and easy to get along with! We laughed and chatted for hours, mostly about things not related to the wedding! I truly believe that Melissa would give her last dollar to someone else in need before taking care of herself! She is sweet and has a heart big enough to fit the entire world!
I am sharing their engagement session today because their wedding is coming up on May 5! Now, ask any of my past Spanish students about Cinco de Mayo…because I am not a fan by any means! If one more person tells me it is Independence Day for Mexico, I think I might fall over dead from a heart attack! Ha! Okay, that’s a bit dramatic, but I’m just sayin’! I am, however, super excited to spend the fifth of May with these two, because I can guarantee without any doubt that it will be the most genuine, emotional and sweet wedding day! I already know that we will enjoy every aspect of the day together!
The only thing Melissa asked for when we discussed location was to have a willow tree and I am so incredibly excited that she asked for that! We found the only tree I know of in Cherokee and based the entire session around it and it turned out amazing! Just goes to prove that you can truly take beautiful images in almost any location!
